Data Deletion Instructions
Meta Developer Compliance Policy
Under Meta Developer Policies, NY Digital provides users of our WhatsApp CMS platform with full transparency regarding their data. Below are the detailed instructions on how you can request the complete and permanent deletion of your account details, subscriber lists, API credentials, and historical logs from our servers.
1. What Data Can Be Deleted?
When you request a data deletion, the following categories of information stored on our AWS and cloud databases will be permanently removed:
- Account Profile Information: Your business name, login email, phone number, and billing history.
- Meta API Credentials: All stored WhatsApp Business API tokens, System User Access Tokens, and Business Manager connection credentials.
- Contact & Group Lists: Customer databases and CSV records uploaded to the Platform for broadcasting.
- Message Logs & Media: Delivery reports, read logs, incoming reply contents, and broadcast templates.
2. How to Submit a Deletion Request
We offer two ways to request the deletion of your data:
Option A: Email Request (Recommended)
Send an email from your registered account email address to hello@nydigital.co.in with the subject line "Data Deletion Request - [Your Business Name]".
Please specify in the email if you wish to delete a specific WhatsApp API number connection or terminate the entire account and wipe all stored data.
Option B: Disconnect via Meta App Settings
If you logged in or connected your business manager via the Meta login flow, you can revoke permissions at any time:
- Go to your Facebook Profile's "Settings & Privacy" > "Settings".
- Navigate to "Security and Login" > "Business Integrations".
- Find the "WhatsApp CMS by NY Digital" integration and click "Remove".
Once you disconnect the integration, our servers receive an automated webhook request and will immediately suspend API interactions with your Meta business account.
3. Timeline and Confirmation
Upon receiving a manual request via email (Option A), our support team will verify your identity. Once confirmed, we will initiate the database scrubbing process. All database entries, tokens, and storage objects will be permanently purged from our primary database servers within 7 business days. System backups may hold encrypted traces for up to 30 days, after which they are completely overwritten.
We will send a formal Data Deletion Confirmation Email containing a ticket reference number once the deletion is finalized.
4. Retention of Billing Records
Please note that even after deleting account profiles, NY Digital is legally required to retain transaction details and GST invoicing records for taxation compliance under the Government of India guidelines. These records contain only transaction IDs, billing addresses, and payment receipts, and do not contain any of your WhatsApp recipient databases or messaging logs.
