Probable Causes
- Broadcast recipients marked the message as spam or blocked the sender
- Broadcasting to an unsegmented cold contact list without clear opt-in
- Misleading offer hooks or aggressive marketing language in templates
Meta automatically pauses message templates when a high percentage of recipients report the message as spam or block your phone number immediately after receiving it.
Meta automatically pauses templates for 3 to 6 hours for a cooling-off period. Audit your targeting list: remove unengaged users, add a clear Unsubscribe quick-reply button, and rewrite the template with value-first language before resuming.
If a paused template is unpaused and continues to accumulate high user block rates, Meta will permanently transition it to Disabled.
We enforce audience opt-in hygiene, frequency capping, and 1-tap unsubscribe buttons so recipients opt out rather than spam-reporting your business.
